Life Centers Announces Dawn Lang as Executive Director

Life Centers is excited to announce the appointment of Dawn Lang as its new executive director. Lang will officially begin her role on October 1, 2024, succeeding Tom Shevlot, who will retire at the end of this year.

Dawn Lang brings over 25 years of experience in executive leadership, business development, and strategic partnerships. Her career spans a variety of sectors, including K12 and higher education, workforce development, government, healthcare, and technology, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Lang holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, a master’s in health and wellness management, and is a graduate of the Richard Lugar Excellence in Public Service Leadership Series.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dawn to the Life Centers family,” said Board Chairman Dr. Perkins. “Her leadership, community engagement, and Christian faith make her the perfect fit to lead our mission forward.”

Lang expressed her excitement, stating, “I am honored to join Life Centers and to contribute to the organization’s mission of affirming the value of life. I look forward to working with the dedicated team and engaging with our community to further our impact.”

Outside of work, Lang is active in the community as a member of ITOWN Church in Fishers, Indiana, the Fishers Rotary Club, and a trustee of the Hamilton Southeastern School Board. She also enjoys teaching yoga and mentoring women civic leaders. Dawn, her husband Jeff, and their family—including their 13-year-old son and rescue dog, Ziva—love spending time together and supporting their two adult children.

For over 42 years, Life Centers has been devoted to providing compassionate care and support to individuals facing pregnancy-related decisions. Learn more about Dawn Lang and Life Centers at www.LifeCenters.com.
